Coinciding with Shepard Fairey’s May Day Art Show opening at Deitch Projects tomorrow, OBEY Clothing will open a pop-up shop today at Reed Space, 151 Orchard Street in Manhattan. It will be open until Sunday, May 16th.

The pop-up shop serves as both a clothing store and a visual narration of Fairey’s work to-date. Capturing the esthetic of the OBEY brand, the shop is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia. Hand-stenciled vintage military jackets housed in shadow boxes and wood frame silk screens line the walls of the store. There is a collection of custom spray paint cans and collages displaying plastered OBEY images from around the world.

The store features a selection of 30 hand-stenciled one-of-a-kind T-shirts, limited edition Pop-up Shop T-shirts,  commemorative Shepard Fairey May Day T-shirts, and an array of men’s and women’s OBEY clothing.

If everyone in the United States lived in an area with the population density of Brooklyn, all 300 million of us could supposedly fit in New Hampshire!

Thanks Evan!
